Electricity consumers across the country who are on estimated billing are to pay lesser than their counterparts who have been provided with metres, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission has said.
Chairman
of NERC, Dr. Sam Amadi, who disclosed this at a press briefing in Abuja
on Tuesday, said a new regulation was underway to compel electricity
distribution companies to provide metres to all their customers within
four months or accept a cap on what they can charge on estimated
billing.
