    Bolton on Sunday joined the group of teams promoted to the next league, but this time to the Championship.

    The Wanderers sealed an immediate return to the second foremost league in England, following a comfortable 3-0 win over Peterborough at the Macron Stadium.
     
    Jem Karacan had set the hosts on the lead before David Wheater and Adam Le Fondre sealed Bolton’s the win and automatic promotion from League One.

    The upgrade is coming after Brighton & Hove Albion, and Newcastle United advance to the English Premier League.
